Bengaluru - IxDA Student Chapter is a collegiate group of students, working under the mentorship of the IxDA Community. It is formed with an objective of creating a platform for the student community to share and collaborate, enabling them for the practice of Interaction Design. Thus, helping in bridging the gap between industry & academia.
In the first ever event of the IxDA Bengaluru chapter, Industry professionals and Students would interact and share their experiences as practitioners & learners of Interaction Design. One of many such events, the launch is but a beginning for this rich collaboration.
What is IxDA?
IxDA is the Interaction Design Association, a global network dedicated to the professional practice of Interaction Design. With the help of more than 10,000 members since 2004, the IxDA network provides an online forum for the discussion of interaction design issues and provides other opportunities and platforms for people who are passionate about Interaction Design to gather and advance the discipline.
Objectives of this group
The primary objective is to create a continuous channel between the Industry and Academia so that both benefit.
What is a Student Chapter?
To spread Interaction Design, IxDA has several Local Chapters in all regions around the world. They work at a grass root level, involve the local community and organize events and workshops at their locations. They work closely with the other local chapters in the region such as UPA, CHI etc.
A Student Chapter is comprised of students of the Interaction Design discipline in its various avatars. The group organizes events, arranges for industry thought leaders to share their insights and provides a platform to students to showcase their work.
